The last push.

In order to celebrate my last run of C25K I would go along to my first Parkrun.

It was such a friendly atmosphere and a whole spectrum of runners taking part.

I was confident I could complete the distance but felt that a bad time may knock my confidence.

The opposite was in fact true!

A good time has made me feel like I am a runner and given me a benchmark time. It's also made me feel that the step up to 10K and beyond is possible.

Hopefully Laura will forgive me for not doing the full final 30 minutes as I managed the 5k in 24:32.

Thanks C25K from G, a runner.

That's impressive well done. Glad you enjoyed Parkrun. I reckon they fit well with the C25k ethos.

Well done! I am enjoying running, but still would not have the confidence to do anything as ambitious as a parkrun.

Brilliant. Me and my OH printed off our bar codes ages ago but have never gone! We have decided to go this Saturday! I think often the worst thing is getting up and doing theses things - then once you've done it, you think...why the heck didn't I do it before!

Thank you for the messages. It's always encouraging to hear other peoples stories and having completed the programme myself I felt I wanted to share how it was for me.

My favourite moment though was running along a piece of road on the way home from the park run and thinking about week one and being unable to run for one minute on that very same piece of road.
