Push Through the Pain and Reap Great Heights

I started C25K September 2013 and finished two months later. During this period of time I lost about 20lbs (200 to 180) but at the end of the program, though i was able to run 30 mins, I was quite slow and was only able to cover 3.5km or so but with the help of 5k + podcasts and continuous running I can now run 18km in 80 mins or so. My endurance is better and so is my speed. I'm 6 ft tall and now weigh a healthy 164lbs. I feel really energetic and fit for the first time in my life and that gives me motivation to face college and everyday life thanks to C25K and fellow bloggers and friends. I may sound boastful but I hope this serves as yet another inspiration story to every beginner and everyone who struggle with cramps and muscle pain. Don't give up. If I can do it, so can you. Happy running folks :)

Hi. That doesn't sound boastful, it's very inspirational for someone like me, who is going to start the program today. Thanks so much for sharing, as it gives me even more incentive to do it. Wow thats great, i am going to start the program again for the third time today and you have given me the inspiration to become a runner to and hopefully lose some weight along the way. Thanks.

That 'never give up' attitude of yours is amazing! 3 runs a week is more than enough and also watch your diet! :)
