My affair with Laura is about to hit a rocky patch....

...as, I suspect, am I.

I know I promised I wouldn't but after writing my last blog I was overcome with a desire to know what I was to be faced with on Saturday. And I'm not happy.

Okay I still have one more Week 2 run to go but I see the Evil One has doubled the run time she expects of me. I mean, it's all very well her whispering sweet nothings in my ear about how well I'm doing, what an achievement it is even starting the programme etc but to go from 90 seconds to three minutes is bang out of order!

I know she loved me last week but what have I done to upset her?

Don't get me wrong, I'll head out on Saturday morning determined to do it but I'm fighting back too. From today I shall be sporting a badge saying 'I Hate Laura', the plan being that every knowing look I receive shall bolster my attempt, every wry smile will put strength in my legs, every tearful glance a spring in my step. I'll feckin' show her she can't mess with me.

Oh and don't you worry, I've already started work on a voodoo doll for Week 4. An ugly voodoo doll!

Trust in Laura! Has she ever lied to you? Good luck, Fingalo, we all know you can do it! :)

I enjoy reading your posts, Fingalo, as they always make me smile. I hate to tell you this but I don't really want you to finish the programme as you might not blog anymore!!!

You can do it, trust Laura you will be surprised at the progress you have made. It really won't be as bad as you think. Go for it :-D

Just remember the Evil One will be waiting at the end of your run and the best revenge is to finish with a smile and a laugh. That will really annoy her !

Best I've managed so far is a cough and a splutter but I'll give it a go at some stage.
