Induction at the gym this morning saw me there at 10.00 and ready to go.
The treadmills are worlds apart from my old gym, although I still found it hard going to just keep running for too long, just got a bit dizzy sometimes still. I have run 7K made up of 2.5+2.5+2.0 and I'll work away and extend the time period gradually. So this morning I jogged 7K, rowed 2000M and did weight training for 1 hour. After that I did a BLT class which was brilliant, sprung floor, mirrors so you could at least see what you were doing (not always a pretty sight) hay ho!
Back tomorrow for another class, zumba this time and another hour in the gym which I will do a short run. I know a rest day from running is advised so will keep it short but just need to keep on at this treadmill work.

are you training for something!!! do you just collapse on the settee at night or does this exercise give you lots of energy til bedtime?? Im knackered just thinking about it. shelley x
Energy levels have been quite high since I changed my diet, I now eat low fat, lots of veg & fruit. But I have to say my up bringing was always energetic, in the 50's we didn't have TV's until I was about 7 so all your time was spent outside running around. I had 3 older brothers so I had a hard time keeping up with their longer legs!! I find the more exercise I do the more energy I have, its all those wonderful endorphins flowing I guess!!
Most disappointed I had to cancel my Zumba class this morning. Left the house with about 3 inches of snow having fallen early morning. Got down onto the main road and the traffic had ground to a halt, it took 20 minutes to drive/crawl 300M. So came home and phoned to cancel as I would never have got there in time. One of the drawbacks unfortunately of this gym being across the other side of the city. I could have just jogged to my old one. Never mind will put my spikes on and have a jog through the snow.
