Treadmill disaster
Hi, maybe check out Yaktrax? they fit over the bottom of your trainers. I used mine when i went out on Saturday and they really did help me. I posted a bit more info on here on Saturday. Hope this helps.
I think running on the treadmill is very different to running outside, i much prefer to run outside , for me it's a mental thing, if you know you have a certain distance or a circuit to run it's in your head that that is what you have to do, setting the time and going through the motions is a whole different mindset. If it's the same for you you will have to find a way to tackle it in your head.
I was like you and found a treadmill made me quite dizzy and feeling almost sea sick but I've just kept trying, new gym too has helped as the treadmills there are worlds apart from my old gym. Managed to jog 7K this morning but not all at once, split it into 2.5+2.5+2.00 in between I worked out in the lovely gym, rowed 2000M too, then did a BLT class for 50 minutes. I'm well chuffed at having mastered the dreaded treadmills though. Why not try it again, I'm in the far NE Scotland and although I did have a run in the snow on Sunday and loved every minute, icy pavements are no fun and can be very dangerous. Broken bones could leave you out of the running game for months too. Good luck
Oh I have snow spikes, got them from SportsDirect last year, they are great for snow but not any use for ice.
