It would be encouraging to us newer runners to know how it's going for you and maybe some of the benefits you've found in continuing to run past graduation. Thanks!

What year did you graduate and are you still running?
graduated may 2011 on a treadmill. moved outside when daughters also did c25k, probably towards september last year. now run outside all the time & loving it. completed b210k dec 2011. now in training for a half marathon in march next year & have recently upped my distance to 7.5miles. running for a charity so no pulling out now...
running is MY time. time for me to work things out in my head & then "zone" out & forget about everything. it is a big stressbuster/lifesaver for me, especially at the moment with a 16 year old daughter on self-destruct hence the 7.5mile run
running also means that I can have that extra treat without the worry of my belly & thighs expanding (wish weight went to the bust area but unfortunately I seem to put weight on from the knees up)
biggest regret is that I was 42 before I started running ~ wish I had found it earlier
Grad 4 weeks ago. Still running, still loving it.
Graduated September this year, the benefits 1/2 stone weight loss and blood pressure down, doc very pleased with me, and I enjoy the running Pa
Graduated October 5, 2012 and am so pleased to have made it through the program!!! we are still running and just did our first organized 5K last weekend.
I am about 18 months post graduation now and still going strong, well still going anyway
I agree with Shelley the only regret I have is that it took so long to find something which cured me of that old PE lesson "you can't do it" frame of mind.
1st time Dec 2011 then Jan 2012 had sciatica which stopped me in my tracks.
2nd time June 2012, at 62 years young you are never too old to learn something new. Having to take it a bit easy this past 2 weeks as the dreaded sciatica has reared its ugly head again. Still think its the best thing I have ever done exercise wise that is, can't wait to get back to it. I now need to master the dreaded treadmill though cos icy pavements are no fun for old bones to fall on.
Graduated Feb 2012, have done two 10k races recently and have another lined up in Dec.
Also just signed up for a 10 mile race in Feb 2013and then Cardiff half marathon in Oct 2013. I may well aim for a half marathon sooner than Oct but, having spectated at this event a few weeks ago, decided I wanted to play too!.
Just back from supporting my sister and several wonderful new running friends do Snowdonia marathon and it was amazing BUT didn't come away wanting to do that one! I am keen but not completely bonkers!
I started this following on from dozens of other graduates who were raving about the programme on the Weightwatchers website.
I was 50 when I started. am 51 now. My only regret is that I spent most of my life (from 11 till 50) thinking of myself as someone who just couldnt run and having missed out on all this fun for so many years!
February 2011 graduated.
I still run and can't imagine a life without it.
Running has unlocked a 'feel good and feel proud of who you are' thing.
So, before, I was just a mum, and just a teacher, and just a gardener, now...
I don't say 'just' anymore.
April 14th 2012. Run outside for 30+ minutes 3 times a week in all weathers. I enjoy it. Gives me time to myself. Bliss. And I have dropped a dress size and 3inches off my waist.
The high I get at the end of the runs lasts all day. And I am 63.
I graduated May 2011 and ran more or less consistently until this summer. Running makes me feel better about myself and I like setting myself targets to reach. I got up to 12k/8miles but fell at the end off Aug after a break for health reason and fractured my foot & tore ligaments (not running). Looks like I will be doing c25k again, possibly in new year when things are fully mended.
