I have Arnica Balm which is thinner than a gel but lovely to rub on. The packet says, I quote:-

Relieves the symptoms of rheumatic pain, muscular pain and stiffness, back-ache, fibrositis, bruising, cramp and sprains.

I got Weleda Massage Balm with Arnica from Holland & Barratt to take away as the one I had ordered didn't arrive in time. I've rubbed this on my painful hip for the last 5 days and I don't have even a twinge now, have yet to try running though. But I have been up and down hills walking for miles so its worked to relieve me of all my pain. Hope this helps.

Arnica is brilliant, I slather it on all over the place every time I have a twine or an ache. It really helps get rid of the pain.

Having said that, I'm sure it won't actually alter your arthritis as such, arthritis is usually changes in the bone/joint, isn't it? But for treating symptoms like Oldgirl mentions it really works.

Good luck!

Thankyou both for your replies.

I've bought the massage balm that oldgirl recommended so look forward to trying it after my rum tomorrow.
