Why do my toes go numb when I am running
Possibly too tight across the front of the shoe?
Take out the laces and when you re-lace the shoe miss out the first eyelets, this way it will release some of the pressure at that part of the shoe.
Is it all of your toes? Might sound like a strange question but it could be related to not having the right shoes for your gait. I over-pronate which puts stress on your big toes, when I started C25K I just had a normal cheap pair of trainers and had problems with numbness in my big toes. I don't get the numbness since switching to low-arch shoes.
After having gait checked, I was recommended a pair of shoes 1.5 sizes bigger than what I usually wear, as was advised plenty of room for toes are needed. They don't feel too big when running, and are so comfy! Two nails on my left foot had split, and this was put down to running in trainers that were too small, although I thought they were ok. Well worth getting them professionally fitted.
