If anyone knows of a good, cheapish pack that can hold a small water bottle and smartphone while running PLEASE do let me know. The longer runs are coming up and I need to find a way of carrying a water bottle with me.... all help gratefully received

Any recommendations for a water/mobile phone running pack PLEASE??
I use one of the Camelbak belts they hald bottles and have a little pouch for "stuff". It works really nicely and you can have one larger bottle slunng on one hip or if you liek the gunslinger look you can have two smaller bottles one on each side.
I have the single bottle one.

I wouldn't say you need a water bottle though for anything in the program. I don't use one unless I am gogin over ten miles. Just have a drink before you go it will be more than enough and be less "faff". You can prob just use one of those arm band doodads for your smart phone and door key then.
Greg, thank you so much for that and also for the advice about the water... I was wondering when I would need to start with water holders. Oh gosh, I wonder if I'll ever get to run 10 miles, that sounds just amazing. Anyway, thank you Greg
I just bought one from sports direct. it was £7.99 & comes complete with 2 small bottles & a centre pocket for mp3 (has a hole for the headphone wire to poke out) but big enough to get a mobile & keys in aswell. was comfy whilst running & I enjoyed not carrying a bottle.
I always take water with me, even on smaller half hour runs. I may not drink alot whilst running but always like to finish off what I have left on my cool down walk.
Thanks Shelley, that's a good price if it can take a smartphone as well. I must check out sports direct - I guess it's UK based... I'll see if they post to Austria. Thanks for the tip :-), Sara
slightly more pricey than £7.99, but I've been wearing a cycling top. specifically wiggle.com/altura-airstream...
It has three easy access pockets at the lower back/upper bum. I use the right for my ipod (classic, so same size as a smartphone), the left for my buff when it comes off, and the middle could probably be used for my water (it does so when actually cycling).
Plus, being a sports top it's very breathable, and with the zip at the front very easy to cool down!!
Just to confirm... the middle pocket of my cycling jacket is useless for carrying water. Good enough to put there when taking a jumper off, for a couple of minutes... but it just bobbed around so badly I decided to just carry my water bottle after about a minute...
