Can you run to your own music and still have guidance from Laura?

I've just completed run 1 of Week 7. A hard run made even worse by the terrible music. I'm using Runkeeper on my iPhone is there any way that I can create my own playlist without losing Laura? If not I will carry on with the podcasts & try to block out the music!!! :-)

i thought i would just listen to my own music for 25 mins on W7R2 BIG MISTAKE!!!!! As much as the music is dross i really missed having Laura there to chip in every now and then..If there is a way to get her incorporated into it that would be the best news ever!! I've even caught myself singing along to some of Laura's tunes!! ( I need help)

I know what you mean 7ermintrude. I definitely wouldn't be able to do it without Laura!!!

I was in Sainsburys the other day mindlessly singing along to their 'elevator' music when I suddenly realised it was the W6R2 podcast blaring out from my phone in my bag. It took me ages to stop it :-)

I think it may be a case of grinning and bearing it until we graduate. I'm hoping my next run is better, I think I was too tired today. Hope you get on we'll with your next run.

I must be very sad as I quite enjoy the music with laura. My husband and teenage daughter have taken the mickey out of me for years though over my music choices so they are not surprised :-)

If you have an Ipod which has Fitness on it you can go into Fitness in Settings and add Spoken Feedback etc then go into the Fitness progamme and set up either time or distance and then chose your own music. If you use the 5K you then get a count down in the last 500M every 100M which is quite good, along with 2.5K done etc. iPod also do Nike Fitness which is similar but has a few more options. Not sure if this is any help to anyone.

Oldgirl, I've had mine for a year now and never knew that! Thank you!

I still use mine even though I have a Garmin now, but I like it because you can make your own playlist in iTunes then you have the option of distance covered notification etc. Be sure and set your height, weight in Settings first. It will also tell you how many calories you have burned.

I used the fitness button on my iPod today for the first time. I used it alongside week 9 podcast. I started it as 5 min warm up started and finished when I'd run for 30 mins. It said I'd only done 29.20 minutes though when at that point it should've said 35 mins! Anybody any ideas why this is??
