First Run + kidney pains

Did my first run yesterday, had my new trainers and managed quite well. Had painful calfs afterwards but expected that. It felt really good to be running and I was thinking yeah I could get to like this. Good job too as I'm planning to run the Bupa 10,000 in May for an Epilepsy charity (my husband suffers)! The best part was running though a small strip of woodland.

Anyway last night my left kidney started hurting. I'm also watching what I eat, recording my intake onto myfitnesspal.com so I was a bit hungry and gassy and thought it might have been a combination of these. But this morning it is still rather painful, hope it doesn't affect my run tomorrow.

You shouldn't have pain like that after a run, might not be connected but you sould get checked out if you are worried. Take it steady x
