Last night was my toughest run to date. The sun beating down on me did not help, but overall I just felt quite tired and sluggish. I still did it though. I'm going to leave 2 days between it and W6R2 to give my legs some extra recovery time. Hopefully that will sort things out.
Slightly scared of the looming 25 minute run at the end of this week.

Taking another recovery day is a good idea- it's hard work running in this heat. Don't worry about r3, the intervals in r1 and 2 are going to make sure you manage and it's going to be cooler next week! You can do it!
Well done. W6,R1 came as something of a shock to me after W5,R3 made me think I'd 'cracked this running lark'. Yes, an extra rest day is a very good decision. I wish I'd done that between W6,R1 and W6,R2. At least I had the two days rest before W6,R3 and had a really good run as a result. Best of luck with the rest of week 6.
I found it hard too! After doing the 20mins and whooping all the way home I went out for W6 R1 full of confidence and cam home with my tail between my legs. Couldn't believe how hard it was. I was supposed to do R3 on Friday but managed to get food poisoning and so I think I'll repeat R2 tomorrow before I tackle 25mins after not eating for 2 days. But as Laura says, You can do it!
