I’ve just done run 2 of week 5 of C25K so gone from 5 minute runs to 8 minutes. Is it just me who found this a huge step up and struggled? Feeling a bit deflated 😎
Tough: I’ve just done run 2 of week 5 of C25K so... - Couch to 5K
Tough
Well done to you IloveScotland (I also live in Scotland) on completing run 2 of week 5 of C25K, for run 3, run it a little slower than you have ran the other 2 runs of week 5, run 3 of week 5 of C25K is a milestone run, once you have completed it you will be very proud of yourself.
Well done! I think everyone has struggled with at least one run, as AlMorr says, take it slower and if you are really not sure or confident you can alway repeat a run. Sometimes it is just a bad day.
Hi and well done for getting this far!! Trust the programme it really does work but I’m going to say what everyone else has said or will say- slow down!! Steady and slow wins this race. Maybe repeat the last ones again at a slower pace to give you confidence. It always seems a shock when the runs get longer and week 5 run 3 is a real milestone in the process- you will feel amazing afterwards I promise. 😊
You’ve got this - keep us posted!
As others have said, well done getting this far, for the longer runs slow right down, I did and was amazed how it felt like I could run forever
Many, many folk,,, before you, and many to come.
Slow down. Trust the plan and just relax...You are ready for these runs, all you have to do, is believe that.

It may help!
I have just done Week 6 Run 3...I am again, repeating C25K...you will soon be there, running for 25 minutes and wondering why you felt so worried.= this week. honestly!
Just trust the plan! x
A struggle mentally or physically ?
Well done! You got it done 😀.
I found that jump quite a shock, but the program does work and you will be amazed at what you will achieve in the weeks to come.
Some days runs just seem hard, even when it’s a repeat of a time you’ve already done. I just go a bit slower and focus on keeping getting one foot in front of another.
Even though I just graduated today I took great comfort from "my coach" reminding me after 3 mins of running that "you may he wondering why you don't necessarily feel so great at this point...but don't worry that will wear off. This is what I've been through on every single run. By 5 mins my body has settled down and I just concentrate on aiming for the haf-way mark, as that's my springboard for the second half. Without someone telling you that in your ear, it's easy to feel alone, unloved and as you said "deflated". Recognising these points that occur during your run, prepares you for the rest of your session. From then...onwards and upwards. In a few weeks you should be able to look back and appreciate how much effort you've put in to progressing.
