Are Men's Trainer Sizes The Same As Women's?

Does anyone know if there is a size difference? I know they ate a little wider but having Googled for info on the sizes there is no clear answer lol - some say no difference, some say half a size and others say 2 sizes!

Thanks

:-)

I have size 9 feet and wear size 9.5 in trainers to save my toenails. Women's trainers rarely go past size 8 so I buy mens. I have wide feet so they suit me and I sometimes change the way I lace them for a snug fit around the ankles. I'd say go try them on in a shop even if you go home later and buy them cheaper online :o)

I've tried to get an answer to this too! I know that ordinary shoes can be a half/size larger for men, including walking boots. Men's are obviously wider too, in general. I think the only way to get a definitive answer is to go to a sports shop and ask for the same trainer in the same size in men's and women's and compare them.

I have ladylike size 7 or 8s & wear a size 8 trainer. like piglet this helps me keep on to my toenails!

having larger feet means that I have tried mens trainers aswell. for me sizing was about the same with the same amount of room at the end of my toes but mens are so much wider around the toes & felt loose around the ankles so have kept with ladies size 8s.
