I am doing my first 5k for age concern day after tomorrow (sat) but I have ankle pain from last 2 days which probably related to old injury-roughly two months back I twisted my ankle completely while playing squash. What do people think? I really want to go for it but dont want to end up with more pain.
Should I run with mild but consistent ankle pain? - Couch to 5K
Should I run with mild but consistent ankle pain?

If it really is mild, I would pop into your local Sports Direct (or equivalent) and buy an ankle support strap. I think a lot of the supermarket Pharmacies stock them these days, too. Be prepared to walk if you have to and just take it gently - completing the run is more important than speed.
Very best of luck - please let us know how you get on.

Definitely strap it up, if it isn't already. Whenever I have problems with my knees they always get better faster if they are supported. Obviously, keep it strapped when you go to run, and if it feels any worse then walk and/or rest. It would be a pity to miss out on something you've been preparing for, but doing more damage wouldn't be great either. I've made that mistake in the past! Remember why you started doing c25k (was it to get yourself healthier or to become an athlete?) and take care of yourself.

Thanks Legion and sfb350- I have bought strap from Boots and I am all prepared to walk /stop if needs to be.
Legion- thanks for pointing out the obvious fact that we are here to get healthier,I somehow had not thought like that and it took big deal of pressure off my shoulders
