I've been doing my last few weeks' runs on treadmills as I've been working away from home and a little voice kept saying 'put a whack of an incline on for a while cos you're going to die when you get back', but I so enjoyed just running without a chest-bursting incline that I didn't. Silly me.
Anyway, so Wk6R2 was my first run back at home yesterday and there is just no avoiding the hills, and I'm not talking little, polite ones, these rise up and look you in your face grinning, and they used to be kind-of stop for a breather half-way up if you're only walking hills. OMG. It was hard, very hard and tomorrow I've got to do it for 25 minutes without a walk. One of these hills feels like you should be going up on all fours rather than running. I ran down it yesterday (which is scary in itself) - it'll be some time before I attempt this K2 monster at a run. This is the first time I've really had sore legs the next day even after stretching. Even the border collies flopped down asleep for hours after. I'm half dreading tomorrow, half excited that I might actually be able to do it.
