OMG!!! Completed W5R2 by mistake......

Hi all,

This is my first time writing a post so a little nervous, I've been reading everyone else's and finding it so inspiring and helpful, I know I wouldn't have got this far without the blogs, you are all in my head when I run, but I'm so pleased with myself today, just wanted to share it with people who would understand.

Anyhoo, today I was supposed to do my W5R1, I run in the mornings (5 a.m. to be exact) and must have been more dozy than usual, anyway I obviously wasn't really listening to Laura tell me what podcast I was listening to and anyway when Laura says run, you run right?!!!

So I complete the run, the 1st 8 minutes went ok, really pleased to have completed it and making a big effort to "big myself up" as I never seem to congratulate myself on the good stuff, only feel bad about the failures.

Second 8 minutes and I'm struggling, can't seem to pick my legs up and I swear, I freeze for 10 seconds mid stride ready to stop, but a voice zaps me back into action and I realise it's St Laura with her dulcet tones telling me "you've got 60 seconds left" and from somewhere I manage to keep going the full 60 secs.

5 minute warm down crawl!!, I'm a bit dizzy as I walk back home and I'm obviously not getting enough oxygen to my brain, because I heard Laura say that I need to listen to the Podcast for W5R3 next, but no I check my phone and I'v done the wrong one!!! Oh how could this happen, what an idio......hold on I just completed 2x 8 minute runs, yes it was hard but I did it.

Woohooooooo!!!!

So for the first time I walked home with a spring in my step and a grin on my face!!

I've decided that on Sunday I'll repeat run 2 again, and move on as normal after that.

C25K BRING IT ON!!

Great blog jojo, where have you been hiding? I'm so pleased for you and pretty impressed! It sounds like you had a really great run. Well done you. I hope the next is equally enjoyable (that is the word, isn't it?) and then on to W5R3. Good luck and welcome to the blogworld.

Wow what a way to introduce yourself to the site, smashing blog, I loved reading your story. Now don't be a stranger any more, tell us all your experiences its what inspires all the new runners when they are finding it tough in the early days.

Good idea to repeat W5R2 you will breeze through the 3rd run then. Keep up the good work, nice one ;)
