Was out doing my loop run this morning a.k.a. Mad Dash!! Just as I finished the first loop I decided to take off my waterproof jacket as I was getting too hot! Glanced over my shoulder cos there were seagulls flying about and they do love to s?i? on you if they get a chance. Thought I saw something but checked again and no, just my imagination. Anyway got home and was untying jacket and taking off my go faster cap when I glanced over my shoulder and here sitting on it was the most enormous queen bee I have ever seen. Oh god what to do, I don't want to kill it but at the same time don't want it going in my ear!! Yikes, then hubby came to the rescue with a small jar which it flew up into and was then carried out of the back door. Oh dear I do hope it managed to get home but it was going to have a long flight!!!

Picked up a hitch-hiker this morning!!!
It's always a tough decision as to what to do with waterproofs when its warms and humid. i hate running with something tied around my waist but ended up soaked through (but bee free!) yesterday.
Spent most of last run hitching my waterproof jacket at least I wasn't concentrating on the time although I like to think that this accounted for my dismal times. I'm sure the Queen Bee will be ok - that have remarkable navigation skills. My grandmother said that bees would only go to nice people because they were so sensitive.
I'm really pleased you said that about navigation skills, I do hope she got home. I was wondering if perhaps with all the heavy rain we have had if her nest/hive has been damaged!
Sounds like an opportunity to start your own hive.
Aw, you must smell like a flower
