Landing flat on my left foot instead of landing and rolling off it...?

When I was out running yesterday, I couldn't run the last 5 minutes properly. I don't really know how to describe it but you know how you can point your foot up and point it down? I just couldn't do that, it was just stiff so I couldn't roll of it. After I walked (limped) for the cool down walk it sorted itself out but I wanted to know if anyone has any idea what it was? Maybe I'm running wrong?? Twas the first time I've felt it so...any ideas?

could you have pulled a foot muscle? If it isn't better I would follow RICE (you can find out about this on the web). If it doesn't improve I would then go to the doc. Longer term if you haven't I would consider having your gait analysed at a running shop to ensure that your shoes are giving you the support you need.

I think it was most likely a foot muscle. It doesn't hurt now but I'm worried it might occur again when I pop out for my last run of week 6 tonight...

Thanks for the tip on RICE. Reading around I think I definately need to stretch more and drink more water before a run!

Thanks Rhona :)
