...any tips for the big 25 min run? Bit anxious now, after the elation of managing the 20 minute one I have found that going back to shorter stints has knocked my confidence a bit; feels like I never did that 20 minute run.

It feels like you never did it because it went so well! I'm sure you can handle 25 minutes. I was actually very surprised that the 20 minute run today went better than I thought it would, mainly I think because mentally I prepared over the last couple days and didn't let my mind get overwhelmed.

I did that run yesterday and all I can say is try it and see. It is scary because the 20 mins to me in W5 felt like a fluke. I did manage it and it was hard, what kept me going was no way was I going to stop after 20 mins and have to do it all again.

As all the runs are now long, I'm going to suss out some easier runs with more downhill than up because mentally that will help me to complete them. Still not running 'easy' but I'm sure that will come with the more work we put in. Remember how far we have come!

I felt exactly the same as you in W6. Confidence a bit knocked. What helped me was getting the 25 min run over with and knowing that the rest of the runs would be straight runs and no walking. I am extremely slow and and it definitely isn't easy but just try and keep a regular pace and you should be fine!

A tip for the 25 min run which I tried (and it helped) is that during your warm up walk, do a couple of short bursts of running and some stretches as you walk, a couple of high knee walks (ok I know you might look funny but who cares?!). This really helped the first part of my run where Iam often a bit stiff. Hope this helps :)

Oops, I meant to say that on the short bursts of running, do little fairy steps!! :)
