Just to make you feel better, I've completed the whole programme on a treadmill. People tell me it's easier on the treadmill than outside, but when the treadmill is in a loft and it's 90 degrees, it doesn't always feel that way!!

Whatever way you are doing it, you are doing it and that is all that counts.

I'm hoping to do my first ever outside run on Saturday, which will be week 10 for me.

I graduated about 5 weeks ago ( outside ) but have found the weather far too hot to do the distances I now want to do.

So, joined the local cheap gym and did my first ever run on e treadmill yesterday and, once I'd got used to it I loved it!!!!!

Have decided to do my "long" runs indoors and my shorter ones outside.

Best of both worlds!

As Nicky says, running is running and at least you're not sat on the couch!

Get a fan in your attic,,,,the air conditioned gym made a heck of a difference! :)

I agree, do whatever you have to do to get through each week. It may be easier to run at a steady pace on a treadmill but you're still running the same amount of time as everyone else, and that's still hard work whether it's on a treadmill or not, so don't feel like you're not achieving as much because you are :)

Well done I started weeks one and two outside but like all the others the heat was killing me so week three I've taken to the treadmill and find it much more enjoyable - air conditioning is brill, I've set the gradient to 5% and run at 8 km ( not fast I know) but keep on plodding on. It seems much better on the old joints and as I keep reading it's far better to exercise and it doesn't matter how - well W3R3 next not looking forward to week 4 but it will be in the gym to combat the heat and hayfever -WELL DONE
