Yesterday I booked my first proper holiday for about 4 years. I have been self-employed for about 7 years and am just getting my head around paid holidays now I'm an employee. Anyway the point is it turned out that one of my main criteria for the hotel was that it had a gym so that I could definiately still run if the environs outside weren't suitable. I'm not sure who was the most shocked, I am afraid that I'm turning into one of those scary fit people that enjoy and are hooked on running..... Argh, I think its too late

  • Thats one of my cats, no idea how I she put her pic on my blog!

  • Well I loved the cat pic! Sounds like you are very dedicated, booking a hotel with a gym in case! My hols this year are - a week in a cottage in the Clwydian hills/near Offa's Dyke path in early June and a week's walking in Croatia in Sept.

I would never have booked a walking holiday before I started this fitness lark!

  • I love the fact you looked for a gym. Makes me good to realise their are others out there who have got as hooked as I have!

I'm also loving the cat pic! I swear our cats are all plotting to take over the world!

  • I too look for a gym when I book a holiday!

    We are so dedicated!

  • I love the cat picture!

You are very dedicated to run on holiday! I'm running a 10k 2 days before I go away for a week, I'm thinking I'll do no exercise and recover!!

In my defence I did think about taking my running stuff but I'm flying and my trainers would take precious kg in my suitcase!

  • Yes, too late you sound well and truly hooked!

  • I've always looked at people running on treadmills etc in the gym on holiday as being slightly crazy, but now I'm slightly (more than slightly!) crazy too as it's one of my main criteria now for booking my holiday!!!

    What's happened to us!!! :)

  • In the nicest possible way hehehehehehehehehehehe!
