How often to run and rest TIP

Following on from a blog I have just read I thought I would post this as a separate blog as I think it's a great tip.

I once read a running book and the guys advice was to never run more than 2 days in a row and never rest more than 2. No matter how you mix the days you basically average 3 runs a week. It allows you more flexibity and prevents lethargy after 2 days rest. Sometimes things just prevent us running on a given day and i feel this just enables you to keep on track. At present I am on week 8 and due to tired legs I am always having a rest day, but once my legs are stronger I will follow this rule.

I think that sounds sensible but I know nothing! This sounds like the sort of guidelines I'll follow too if I feel up to it.
