ok so wk8 run2... New friend providing a mystery...
Lovely run (when you can describe running as lovely you are bonkers) but... According to my new friend (who needs a name) I have run a little further but slower...
I did sneak a look at pace at one point and it was reading 8.52kph which made me smile, I was on my home turf run today and I've had to loop about all over the place in the village as my route is too short lol
I'm thinking that since the figures are average and my heart rate and calorie burn were up quite a lot that I was running much quicker in part of the run?
I'm wondering if the middle 12/14 mins when I feel most at ease and tend to be thinking about others things other than what my body is doing is when I'm actually quicker?
I'll get the Garmin connect thing sorted out on the computer this weekend, Ali does it show what's happening data wise throughout the run? (geek)
wish I had bacon in for buttie

I really want one of these gadgets! They sound so cool, and i would love to be able to accurately track the distance I cover. Unfortunately I checked out the prices and my dreams where smashed
I think your assumptions are right for your second run, did you run a different route?
Mmm bacon buttie ... but and egg and bacon buttie would be even better! yum
Bxster not got round to putting data onto computer....job for this weekend. Will let you know when I get round to it. However, I do believe it shows the splits so you would be able to see the pace of each km (or mile) through out.
Oh yes it tells you pretty much everything right through, its an amazing thing and nice to see the OCD stats obsessionis starting in earnest!
You'll fit in just fine
You can even replay your runs where you see a marker run around your route whilst at the same time other markers trace your speed and elevation in parallel so you can see the correlation.....ooooooohhhhhhh is magic!
For anyone who wants to have a look at Garmin Connect, this is my run today connect.garmin.com/activity... using my Garmin Forerunner 110, but I wasn't wearing my heart rate monitor. (This was a slower run as I've got a cold at the mo!!)
If you can't see the chart for the pace and elevation either use the diagonal arrows to expand the chart and then it will show, or there is a drop down arrow and move the blue down one.
Well that's my Fri evening planned my friend will just have to put up with the technical faffing about, I'm sure he'll be fine with glass of wine in hand, he runs so I'm sure he'll grasp the importance lol
