Can anyone recommend running shoes or trainers? I'm due a new pair, been using my reebok trainers, they are ok but getting a bit worn and don't really give much support. I'm pretty sure I'm a neutral foot person and can't afford high end ones but any suggestions I'd be grateful. I've just started wk4 of C25k. thanks Lesley.

The best thing to do is get properly fitted - the best places do gait analysis and find the perfect shoes. If you do a quick search, many have said that they're not pushy at all and are happy to let you shop around to get a good price once you know what you're looking for.
Personally I was very lucky and bought some branded running shoes from an outlet store, which seem to be fine and I've graduated with no problems (touch wood!!).
I went for a treadmill analysis & told the assistant that £40 was my limit at the moment, having just spent out £35 on other important running stuff (bra!). he was kind enough to write down the model no of the shoes & I bought mine from ebay for £30 from an ebay sports shop. in dw sports they were £65.
you dont have to be pressured into buying from the shop & the assistant I saw was really helpful & explained the analysis, which was well worth the visit, just to see that.
I went to a local running shop (didn't even realise they existed until recently ) they got me to balance on each leg and walk up and down and then recommended shoes. They weren't pushy at all and had prices from £40 upwards. The key thing is to go and talk to someone who knows what they're talking about and not just hope that buying "decent" running trainers will do. I ended up with a size bigger than I would have bought without professional advice.
