🍏 Welcome 🤗 Well done on commencing the program and getting to week 3. It’s great to have you on board. I am going to give you some useful information to look up..

Hopefully you have elevated your knee and iced it. A compression bandage will also help relieve any pain. Please don’t run again until all the pain subsides. The runs will wait. If it’s more than just a twinge please seek advice from your GP or physio.

Read the links I am inserting and do come come back with any questions you may have. Hope it settles down quickly. Do let us know!

You're definitely not alone. And definitely seek medical attention if it worsens or doesn't go away!

Developed knee pain after w2r1. I visited a physio, did her recommended strengthening exercises and came back 6 weeks later (longer rest than necessary due to other commitments).Seven years on it has never reappeared.

So rest it until the pain is gone, consider strengthening exercises and maybe a physio visit, then try again; your patience will repay you in spades!

Knees are really complicated structures and there are all sorts of reasons why you may have developed pains there. Get it checked out by your GP if it doesn't clear up after a few days of rest, ice, elevation and compression.

The correct treatment will save you from future problems but it is absolutely essential to get proper medical advice from a professional who can see you and knows your history, not a bunch of well meaning amateurs on the internet.

Good luck - and I can tell you from personal experience that if you get the right help your problems can be resolved.
