Advice for week 5

Everybody bricks it when they see week 5.

I know I did.

But when you get to the big R3 it's surprisingly ok. You'll not quite understand how you did it.

And afterwards, week 6 is really enjoyable.

What nobody tells you though is that week 7 is horrible!

There's no respite and you suddenly realise what it takes to be a runner.

That said, I'm up for it. This programme has changed my life and I'm loving it!

I’m hoping that you’ll find Week 7 to be much like Week 5 Run 3.

The programme has prepped you for it!

Keep us posted!

Week 7 was absolutely the worst week of the programme for me! It does show you that you can still keep going when you’re not enjoying yourself and that’s so important. Anything that’s worth doing needs a bit of the “I know this I’m not fun right now but it is necessary to get to where I want to be” mental toughness to persevere through rhe harder times. The pay off later is great!

It really helped me to remember that all runners have runs that aren’t fun. You’re not doing anything wrong and your legs are still doing all the steps even if your head is hating it! With every duff run comes the promise of a brilliant one round the corner and those are what keep us going!!

Thanks for sharing!
