Caught the train from Rannoch to Corrour then walked back to Rannoch. About 11.5 miles in all. Mainly uphill for first 4 miles then generally downhill from there. Four or five streams to get across, the heavy rain made them faster and deeper. I got away with just wet feet and ankles, my friend Helen decided to sit down half way across the deepest so got quite wet! Lots of laughs along the way. About 14 degrees with a brisk wind so good for walking. Just a short 5 miler around Blair Atholl tomorrow before heading home on Friday.

Good walk for you Phdgranny, that's Rannoch Moor, one of the most desolate regions in the whole of the UK, Corrour is the highest railway station in Great Britain, very isolated with the West Highland Line and the West Highland Walk Way not too faraway, glad you enjoyed it
