Hi everyone. I was a late starter. I began in 1998 , in my late 30s .I've ran on and off since then. I even completed the great north run in 1999!! I had lots of breaks over the years. Life just got in the way . I completed C25k again a few months ago with a friend , having not ran for over 3 years. We Continued our running 2 to 3 times a week. It made us both feel great. Unfortunately I keep suffering with heel and sole pain and burning. It's worse in the morning. I've rolled my feet over frozen water bottles and stretched and massaged my feet. It doesn't hurt when I run. Im assuming it's planter faciatus. I'm fine the first 5/6 months of running. I'm thinking maybe at age 64 it's my feet telling me to give up! Well done to everyone giving it ago. Keep on trying, it doesn't matter how long it takes.
Keep on trying: Hi everyone. I was a late... - Couch to 5K

🍏Lovely to have a friend to run with! Don’t give up before you have had a professional opinion. My GP referred me to an Orthopaedic Podiatrist who sorted my plantar fasciitis within a few weeks & had me back running again. I am 72 …
