I’ve just seen on the news that Jo Whiley will be on BBC breakfast at 7.50am talking about Couch to 5k and the new runs. I’ve no idea what she’ll say but I’ll be tuning in with my morning coffee!

It was nice to see her face as well as hear her voice! I liked how the piece showed some real people who had enjoyed the app. Nice to hear the run coach talking about conversational pace and running at 50% effort. I’d have liked to hear more about how best to use the new runs but maybe that’s coming another time. I never used Jo Whiley as a coach and it did make me want to try her out!!
I have just watched Jo Whiley on BBC Breakfast talking about C25K, excellent interview and a runner who has completed the training course, a lot of runner's who will be running The London Marathon this Sunday began with C25K.I still have the C25K app on my Android phone, I notice that it has been automatically updated to include av few new features called 'beyond 5K' I'll give those features a try in the coming weeks.
The London Marathon is taking place this Sunday, it's on BBC television, I am sure like in the past there will be a promotion for C25K, that's the way a lot of marathon runners began their running career, C25K to marathon 🏃🏾 👍
PS, not only was there a promotion for C25K during the program talking about the London Marathon but also during a frame break at the Snooker World Championships at Sheffield, so we might get a lot of snooker players starting C25K as well. .
My C25K app has also been updated. Have been trying to get to the runs but having difficulty as the app asks for me to choose a motivation from the list but ... no list! So currently not getting very far 😂
Hmmm I went back to the app and it wants me to start again - it doesn’t seem to recognise me ( how rude) I’m guessing there’s no way to bypass this to get to the beyond 5K bit?
I might have to “cheat” my way to completing the programme again - any top tips? Also I’m sad that Michael Johnson is no longer a coach - I loved having him in my ear!
You’re not the only person to have this problem! Try going straight to week 9 and playing through run 3. When it finishes, that will hopefully bring up the Beyond Couch to 5k runs. That’s worked for others. Good luck!
