You have a lovely little dog Eilacass, congratulations on completingweeks 1 to 5 and run 1 of week 6 of C25K, you deserve to be very proud of yourself, I am glad that you are enjoying your running and find the mental health benefits too, only one more run with interval walks and runs, from run 3 of week 6 to run 3 of week 9 no more walking, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 6.
Hiya! I'm a bit older and I am just loving the programme, as well. Sometimes I'm just itching to get back out for my next run, but always give myself that day of rest.
I never thought I would be a runner, but if all goes well, I want to complete the programme and look beyond!!
All the best!!
Yes I agree with you. I'm 64 and had never run before starting C25K in Jan, finishing in Feb, and I've now started parkrun too. I couldn't imagine getting past W1 when I started. I've always been a keen cyclist (touring, commuting and utility, not racing!) but running just never appealed to me. But the mental health benefits, and even occasional euphoria, have been a revelation to me. Somehow my mental resilience has strengthened, with C25K getting me through some tough issues recently. I hope you continue to find the same - keep going! 🙂
