Hi all, I am a past graduate but have had some issues and have decided to start C25K again so as not to push myself too hard. I bought new trainers late last year and have been having lots of problems with them slipping in wet weather - even just brisk walking could lead to skidding along the path! Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent this before I take sandpaper to the soles!

I have a pair like that, I don't use them for running, but they are slippy in rain... Maybe contact the supplier?

I don’t think it’s worth feeling unsafe underfoot. I’d be buying a new pair. I had one pair like that and I ended up selling them.
Wishing you loads of happy runs! Hope the rerun goes well!

While I've been known to sandpaper ordinary shoes to give them more grip I wouldn't mess with running trainers. I'd sell or donate (if you can afford to) your unsuccessful pair and replace them. Might be helpful to check reviews before you buy, and consider trail or hybrid shoes, particularly if you're running off-road.
