I started C25K in January and was doing OK until partway through W7 when I got a knee niggle. This was after doing a run* in the morning then going for a very muddy walk slithering all over the place which may have twisted the knee a bit. I stopped the programme for 10 days and just went for little daily walks, eventually the knee got better and I was able to start again. Didn't feel confident to jump back into W7 so restarted W5 to get back into it gently - it's going well so far. I've also become more diligent about doing the pre and post run stretches which I was a bit lazy about doing before. Onwards and upwards!
* My 'runs' are actually slow jogs accompanied by my other half Mr Catman who has longer legs - I jog at his walking pace 😄

I started in January too, it's a shame about the knee niggle but sounds like you have it all in hand and are back on course. Jogging alongside a long legged walker sounds like a great idea. Happy running!
If your knee is a bit 'wobbly', feels like it needs a bit of help, you may find a supportive bandage helpful. I have a black one which always makes me feel like a seriously intensive runner for some reason
The other suggestion, if it happens again, is to see a physio who can give you exercises to build up whichever muscle isn't holding you steady.
