Today I ran for the first time after a calf strain I got 10 days ago. I took the advice on from this forum using RICE.
As it was my first run the advice was to take it easy and build from there, I ran at 8kph for 30 minutes without suffering any problems. I now need to step up the pace gradually until I reach my normal running speed.
