Breathe however you can! Breathing sorts itself out once you get to the longer intervals like over 8 minutes. It’ll settle down.

Just have a read through...but..the key is, like blinking...don't think about it. Stay relaxed, slow and steady...take everything in, around you and just....breathe x

🍏 The best way to breathe in these early days is to forget about it. Keep your shoulders relaxed and run slowly .. smiling at other runners or people you pass. You are making good progress. Enjoy your next run!

You've managed to breathe perfectly well until now - like everyone says, don't overthink it, have confidence in your own ability and if in doubt reassure yourself you've been doing it since the day you were born!

Just remind yourself of this next time you're having difficulties, hopefully you'll smile and that always makes everything better :)

Breathing can never be "not good". Just breathe naturally and do not think about it. Concentrate on your running and surroundings.

I have thought more about your post. When I first started running two years ago, I was frequently out of breath and would often have to change from running to walking for a few minutes. to catch my breath. But now this almost never happens as it seems that my body has adjusted to running and I can run 5K without stopping to catch my breath.

I agree with everyone else, it sorts itself out as your running gets easier, I find not ‘bunching up’ stops me puffing and blowing, do just let your body relax into the movement, let us know how you get on

I tried to breathe as suggested by Jo Whiley but got myself into a tangle so I did what everyone else here has suggested - just relax into it and you will find your natural rhythm :)

Don't knock yourself out.

Don't overthink it, disengage Brain.

Let Brian the 🐌 overtake you and your Breathing will be fine.

Have an Excellent Day.😁

totally agree with everything everyone has said! I tried the “breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth” advice but I just couldn’t do it! I found that at the beginning, my breathing was just gasping (I was very overweight and had not done any exercise for YEARS!!) but it does sort itself out! Just don’t worry about it! It will happen!

I used to have the same issue, then I found a great video on YouTube about 'belly breathing', I kid you not, it changed my running, walking and sports in general.Look it up and give it a try, it will take a little thinking about but you can do it.
