Christmas run.

Did a run today but not great. The temperature has dropped a bit here so had breathing problems. I did do 30 mins but had to stop 3xs. Since I graduated I have done 2 full runs, no stopping but still with Steve in my ear. The last two had no Steve but were quite difficult. One with several hills which I'd never done and today. Should I just keep using Steve for a while longer?

Well done for getting out, if you are needing to stop maybe try slowing down a bit, having said that there's nothing wrong with walk breaks at all.Maybe if you'd like a change from Steve try the Nike Run Club app? Lots of variety there and you can pick longer or shorter runs

Thank you for the advice. Will keep running one way or another.

Another vote for the Nike Run Club app-it’s marmite but free and I love it! You might like to consider coming across to bridge to 10k when you’re ready. There’s no need to be building to 10k (unless you want to!) but you’ll find lots of discussion of NRC runs which might inspire you with which ones to choose. To start off with, look for “easy” or “recovery” runs which are at a chilled out, comfortable pace. They don’t come with a five minute warm up/cool down walk so don’t forget to add those on yourself. It’s a good plan to mix up your runs with shorter ones too. Those are still good runs too, and walking breaks can be part of good runs too!
