🍏 🇨🇦 🍁 The Last Lap

🍏Today is our last day in this beautiful country. In spite of icy conditions I managed to do a safe 5k run albeit very slow. Unfortunately my favourite tracks were too dangerous but most of the pavements had been salted and were safe. I ended on a high note by doing the 5k I was after.

The Rocky Mountains in the distance are beautifully white! My heart is heavy with the thought of saying farewell to the family & hugging them close, but also full of gratitude for the special times we have enjoyed together!

We travel home tomorrow & will be back in the UK 🇬🇧 on Wednesday and home in the late afternoon. ✈️🏡🇬🇧

it sounds as though you have had a wonderful holiday. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts and seeing your photos. My niece and her husband and son live in Calgary.. only visit UK rarely. Thank goodness for social media, instagram etc for keeping in touch with family.

You have had a wonderful holiday in Canada Annie, you began your holiday in late Autumn and then came winter with those lovely photos you sent us of frosty snowy landscapes where you had great runs.

So you are coming back to the UK just as winter starts here, let me tell you that the weather later this week is to get much colder and the UK may see it's first snow of the winter on Thursday or Friday, welcome home🇬🇧
