Hi everyone! Today was the first run of the second week for me.Thanks to all your support and useful advices I figured out that I indeed pushed too hard and ran too fast during my second run of the first week.
I slowed down my pace and after that all went much smoother.
Now I am wondering, do you guys also feel like the second week was easier than the first one?

Thank you very much for ur support and encouragement. I did today my second run of w2. And feel absolutely amazing! I even had energy to run more during my last 5minutes walk.
I enjoy it so much, an I believe more and more now that I am going to graduate the program this time !
As I remember I found the first few weeks the hardest. Something clicked around week 3-4, I really started to enjoy it then. It may sound odd but longer runs can be easier.
There is a scientific explanation. If you do a longer run the first 10 minutes are often the most challenging. It takes about this long for your body to make the physiological transition from walking to running, like when you first start an old car up. As the weeks go on you spend a smaller and smaller proportion of your running time in this 'Toxic 10'. Plus of course your confidence and self esteem will be growing with every run you attempt.
So just hang in there, keep at it and know that if you've done Week 1 the hardest bit is behind you.
Oh, a little tip. If it starts to get difficult smile, even if you have to force yourself it releases some sort of happy hormone and gives you a little boost. If you say out loud 'I can do this' or 'I'm smashing this run' or 'I feel FANTASTIC' you'll feel even better. Just try not to do this if there are people too close to you, they might worry
If anyone asks, tell 'em a random but well meaning stranger on the internet told you to do it, this'll explain everything 😂🙄
