What is it? Where is It? When is it...Who is it for ?

So many questions... and the answers are;

* A BRAND NEW WEEKLY POST !

* THE STRENGTH & FLEX FORUM!

*EVERY WEDNESDAY!

*NEW RUNNERS...GRADUATES...RETURNING RUNNERS. EVERYONE WHO IS ACTIVE!

( Be warned though... once you pop in... I shall be watching for you and maybe giving you a shout, if you disappear)!

Good Morning Running People!

How is it all going...I am fired up and ready to rock today. Week 5 Run 1, ( C25K repeat), completed yesterday... and I am the bearer of good news!

So many folks here in the C25K programme right now...and because for many, this whole running lark is very new, there are questions... fortunately we, here on the Admin Team can usually answer those questions... and if we cannot, we find someone or some place where help may be found! Unfortunately, some questions, especially in the first weeks, may be about twinges, aches, pains or injuries... so, as were not medical experts, we cannot give medical advice... BUT, what we are able to do is point you in the direction of the Strength and Flex Forum, where, there is a wealth of useful stuff!!!

What kind of stuff I hear you ask... well.... exercise stuff of course.

So now... the why and wherefore of heading across there...

Well, quite simply, the Strength and Flexibility Forum, is all about our different exercise needs as runners. We share it too, with Active 10, Bridge to 10k and Marathon and Race Support.

The forum supports the sharing of experiences at all levels, and makes use of fitness resources by the NHS as well as mainly freely available resources shared by our community., and we have some great ones...

nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/

These just suit us perfectly!

Now, when you head across to OUR Strength and Flex Forum, , it may all look a little daunting, and that is something we are looking at improving.

If you are going across for something specific, have a quick look around at pinned posts etc. and if you are still a tad lost...write your post and or question on there and we will answer you...maybe not immediately, it depends if we are doing exercise stuff or cooking a meal for the family! We can then point you in the direction of some exercises which will support your recovery... and help those aching knees.

The same applies if you, ( hopefully not) have an injury... we can help! Runners on our other forums too, will find so much information and support there too!

So many posts there and on most subjects of exercise, many gathered together all in one place!

Now.. because this can all be a tad overwhelming... I have decided to start a weekly meeting place.. for your runners to pop in and ask questions, share your experiences and generally find out what there is on the forum to help support you and your C25K running....

( Graduates will of course be welcomed there too... although I will need more seats for everyone )!

SO... what is this place going to be called... well, rather suitably I thought, it is going to be called... da dah !!!!!

Changing-Room Chat … (very appropriate but maybe less smelly than many changing rooms! Only fresh towels and healthy snacks available here:)

So.... this coming WEDNESDAY...the first Changing-Room Chat will be live....and I am really, really hoping that over the next few days next week, we will get a few folk dropping in to chat with us and each other:) Chatting and sharing what exercises they and we, are doing already or not, what they have found useful, what has helped with certain twinges or niggles or after injury even :)

I shall pop in most days and will out up a new post each WEDNESDAY !

Woo Hoo WEDNESDAYS are on the way!!!!

Looking forward to see some of you peeping around the S and F Changing Room door !!!
