So, can't quite believe that exactly one year ago at the age of 59 I took the plunge, laced up my new running shoes bought specially for the occasion and headed out for Run 1 of Week 1 of the C25K programme. The route was a very bad choice and it was a real struggle as the return part meant lots of going uphill and my running diary notes tell me I only completed 6 of the 8 short runs and had to walk the rest. I hadn't done any running since PE on schooldays many moons ago and had no real expectations. But since that day, I'm proud of having completed the programme, done plenty of consolidation weeks and completed the 60-minute Magic Plan - and still go out 3 times a week slow as a snail π for 30-45-minute runs! Just thought I'd post to give some encouragement to those still on the programme - if I can do it, anyone can! Happy running πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
