Old Runner Returns

I started C25k W1 today - I have not run since covid. PMR got in the way and now a stroke 6 weeks ago. It was difficult, but I completed. At 84 and as an ex marathoner I was stupidly nervous.

I find it hard to type and speech and especially not good - but i'm back.

Welcome and a HUGE well done you! I am a mere child at 73!

I am assuming you have the go ahead from your medical experts to do this... do heed any advice they may give:) If so:

Check out this post please...

healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

A lot of sound advice there... to keep you safe and keep you moving... and enjoying too.

Take it slow... take it steady... especially in this heat.

Take time out if need be, extra rest days too...and keep posting your runs... there is so much support here... If you need to ease back... no worries... the runs wait... !Looking forward to reading your posts!

Welcome!!! So great to hear you are starting again. As an Ex-Marathoner you probably know the ropes: slow and steady!

And then slower still! Especially in this heat! (If you are in the UK)

Enjoy the come-back journey!
