I wasn't sure if this was a good idea or whether to repeat W8 this morning. So firstly I told myself just to run and no worries if I stopped at 25 or 28 minutes. Secondly, and more importantly I told myself to slow down. Looking at my post run stats I see I've been picking up the pace, which I don't think is a good thing when yet again I'm trying to run for a longer period of time. Well both strategies worked, and I'm over the moon. Another 2 runs to complete the programme, wow. Nearly there 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ 😎

Started W9 today
Congratulations! I do this a lot-I find it makes a massive difference mentally at the beginning of the run. Knowing I’ve got a “get out of jail free” card to cut short if needs be means I’m so much more likely to keep going and complete the full thing. It’s funny the tricks we do to keep our brains happy!
Pace is a funny thing. Sometimes you might find you’re a bit quicker than expected but as long as you’re still running at the same effort, that’s ok. It could be a sign that you’ve just got fitter. If you’re noticing you’re slipping into pushing a bit hard (as we all do sometimes!) and you can’t talk in sentences as you run, that’s when reining it in is best, especially early in the run when you’re warming up. Running by effort is such a great way to do it-then the actual numbers don’t really matter. Saying all that, running at a slow, easy pace is a brilliant way to run and making an effort to run at that pace is always a good thing!!
You’re doing so well. Time to start planning those graduation celebrations! ❤️💪🏃♀️
Huge well done to you... !
Slow and steady, ( your slow and steady), is a tricky thing to get right... but the more you run, the easier it should become....
The last Catch-Up Corner post dealt with pace... ! makes interesting reading.
