I’ve read that you shouldn’t run with an injury below the neck, but does a sprained wrist count? I took a tumble dog-walking today and have badly damaged my wrist (not broken but painful). Am due to run tomorrow morning and I really want to but is it wise?
Thanks 😊

Oh poor you! I fell and sprained both my wrists and elbows before Christmas. Sending lots of sympathy your way.
I waited until my wrists were recovered enough that I could actually put a sports bra on (not easy!) and if I fell again, I was confident I wouldn’t damage myself any further. The advice my an and e doctor gave was to wait for the bruises to heal, the swelling to go down and the pain to ease. I would err on the side of caution and give yourself some time to heal.
Ooh! That’s a really good point - about the sports bra! I hadn’t thought about trying to get it zipped up. Thanks for the sympathy though I really should learn to pick my feet up when walking in the woods.
Hope you’re well on the mend now - that sounds like a really bad fall you had. Thanks for the advice! 🙏
