Week 4 runs

New to the forum and on Week 4 now. Just wanted to say how much I value everyone’s posts and that it’s great to read about other people who are at a similar stage to me.

I’m overweight but mainly wanting to do this to feel fitter and I can already feel quite a big difference after just over 3 weeks. I don’t really get breathless any more while walking (no matter how fast I try and walk!) and the runs are actually enjoyable.

The step from Week 3 to Week 4 is quite a big one and I was worried I wouldn’t manage it. The last 5 minute run was really tough but I just managed to finish it so wanted to encourage others that while it might seem impossible at first, just give it a go and you might surprise yourself.

Now… run two of Week 4 today, any tips for running in this wind - it’s wild out there 😬

You are doing well, I found the step up from week 3 to week 4 the biggest if the programme, run into the wind, turn, then it'll blow you home

Well done!! In strong wind it's useful to take smaller steps and lean into it. Also I look to the sides a lot as it takes the pressure off of the face if it's a strong headwind.Well done so far, keep on keeping on 👏👏👏👏
