Later than hoped, couldn’t run on 27th. Joined forum 4 years ago, now restarting for nth time after various issues & injuries, back to Week 1.
Phone broken so no audio or Strava, old school use of stopwatch and scrap of card with handwritten times to run. Morning run after cup of hot lemon water with maple syrup. Gentle jog at Tim’s easy conversational pace, up the hill, round the park avoiding the piles of damp leaves, back down the hill.
Now raising a cup of coffee in Tim’s memory with gratitude for all that he gave us over the years. Thanks to Tim’s family and friends for letting us borrow him and sincere condolences on your loss. I will keep running and keep smiling because that’s what he told us to do as long as we are able.

It warmed my heart to see someone running in memory of Tim, so thank you for doing that and sharing it with us, Ping-pong ! Even though I only knew Tim from the forum (and only briefly at that since I joined in August... ), I weirdly miss him today...
Thanks CR2. It's not weird for you to miss him. He was such a huge presence on here and we must all have his voice inside our heads saying slow down, easy conversational pace, no running on consecutive days for a year etc etc as well as recalling his other beautifully lyrical posts and photos about nature, wellbeing and life in general. The other admin will carry on giving the messages, information and support (thank you to them for all they do too) but Tim will never be forgotten.
Welcome back. It’s never over if you stop, it’s only over if you don’t start again. Tim would be proud of you getting out there again and making do with old school tech to get it done. Imagining you running along like that makes me so happy.
