this morning I ran in the rain and completed C25K!!!

Since starting the program I’ve seen seasons change, darker mornings but my mental health has improved significantly for the better!

Not sure what to do next, but for now walking around knowing that I’ve done it is enough for today

Congratulations to you JayneDoe on graduating from C25K, well done, all the better that you ran in the rain, I am so glad to know that your mental health has improved since you started the course.

What to do next is run several 30 minute consolidation runs then if you want to run a 10K try Ju Ju's Magic 10 plan, it's not an app but a training course a little like C25K, now go and celebrate your wonderful achievement with 🍷 and cake 🎂.

thank you, it may sound strange but I think I’m going to miss Jo Whiley on my runs. Onwards and see what I can achieve. I’ve done this and believe me when I say this, I never thought I’d be able to do this, let’s just see what happens

Many runners use run 3 of week 9 when they do around 6/30 minute consolidation runs, so you could still have Jo Whiley while running.

Well done there JayneDoe , that is an amazing achievement, you should be really proud. I would just concentrate on consolidating what you’ve done for a few weeks or so. And walk around with a big grin on your face 😁🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆.

Absolutely fantastic news! What an achievement. How are you celebrating? 🏃‍♀️ 💪 🎉

There’s a great little guide to post c25k running here. Essentially, you want to stick at no longer than 30 minutes until you’re totally comfortable (often at least three weeks) and then it’s up to you! It’s a good time to think about where you want to go next. Try new routes. Run with no tech. Go short and sweet! Who knows where you’ll be in another 9 weeks/months/years of running. It’ll be an exciting journey for sure!

congratulations just keep running it’s just the best! NRC app is good if you need the continued guidance or just use Strava to record and listen to your own music or a podcast running is just the best 👌🏼

Well done 👏🏻 such an achievement in life - it really does help with mental and physical health.

I felt the same about Sanjeev guiding me through my runs and I did use the app to do week 9 a few times until I felt confident running without him using my music and a timer.

I then moved on to the magic plan which has been brilliant too. Good luck with your running journey.

Well done JayneDoe 👏 I was due to run my 9/3 today too but woke at 4.30am with a headache that hasn't gone yet so will have to put it off now 😔. Congratulations 🎉

What a buzz! Whatever you do you should enjoy it so the reward of.running encourages you to run. I've discovered Parkrun which has enjoyment, fulfillment and community at its core. It is the most genuinely inclusive institution I have ever come across apart from an old fashioned long gone village pub!

Congratulations on graduating, it feels great doesn't it! So glad that running has helped your mental health, it has that effect on me too.

Whatever next is your choice but like others have said do a few weeks of consolidation 30 minute runs before going any further to prevent injury.

Good luck with wherever your journey takes you. Happy running

Well done! Amazing feeling when you complete the course, isn't it? I completed it just under 2 weeks ago & I still amazed & proud of myself. Hope you're celebrating!

still grinning like the Cheshire Cat!! I really can’t believe that at the start I was dreading running for 1 minute, now ‘bring it on’

Well done. Fantastic achievement. I’m only on week 3 so a looong way behind you. Any tips for keeping going?

just keep plodding on, take the advice of others on here. I’m not going to break any land speed records, but I just keep going. Good luck and if you need to slow down, then do it
