Knee niggle

A bit upset this week, twisted awkwardly on my knee last week whilst at work and now struggling to run. Have decided to be sensible and rest for a week then try and repeat week 7 before moving on. Really fed up 😒

Sending lots of sympathy your way. You’re absolutely doing the right thing in resting, frustrating as it must be. When you restart, take it super easy and if you get pain, be ready to stop. Really good luck and hope this is just a minor hiccup. ❤️

Good move! I have twisted a knee in the past and it took a bit over a week to sort itself out, including swelling up for a few days. I had stupidly run on it: my first hour-long run, but only because the knee became sore during the run and I'd slowed down considerably.

so frustrating 😢 you’ve done the right thing to rest up until you feel pain free. Try walking before you run again to see how that feels and maybe some stretches each day to keep everything warmed up. Good luck and hopefully you’ll be running again pretty soon 🤞🏻

oh what a bummer! Are you wearing a compression support? I am not in a position to offer medical advice at all, but personally I find the adjustable compression type knee supports really great for a niggly knee.

I have got a knee support so when I feel I'm ready to run again, hopefully next week, I'll probably use it but don't want to become dependent on it. Concentrating on strength and stability at the moment x
