4th Attempt to complete!

Tried to complete couch25k 3 times before and given up around week 4/5. I’ve finally got to week 8 run 2. Ran extremely slowly, but delighted to complete it. Four more runs to go 🥳

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

Slow is good.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

brilliant - well done, do you think it was the running slowly that’s got you further on the programme this time? I found this helped me at week 6 when I was struggling. I still have to consciously remind myself to start slower each run.

Run extremely slowly is perfect and means you will be able to keep going, well done you, and one day you will realise your slow has got a little faster

Extremely slow is okay...more than okay! Slow is getting you exactly where you want to be and you are getting there safely and enjoyably.

Very well done... keep doing exactly what you are doing x
