I’m so pleased I completed day 2 week 5 which is 2 x 8 min runs, I can’t believe I’ve done it!! I’m so proud of myself. I’m 4 stone overweight and hoping this will help me to get some weight off. I’m lucky that I live on the coast so I went straight in the sea afterwards it was freezing but felt so good. My next run is 20 min 😬

Congratulations! That must feel so good. You’re doing brilliantly,

Really good luck for your next run. Just remember, it’s just the next step in the program and you’re ready for it. Take it steady and you’ll nail it.

Awesome!

Just remember the magic of going slow for your next run! That'll be especially important for the non-stop runs 😉 Also, there is absolutely no shame in slowing your pace when you notice you're getting too tired. It works for me every time 🥳

Thanks for advice! To be honest I’m very slow, you could walk faster than I run but I am still running, I can work on the speed later, is the way I look at it. X

Welcome to the forum and well done

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5.... and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

GO KES! You’ve got this. I’ve seen people on the app who’ve lost 5 stones of weight as they’ve kept running after the program. GO GIRL! 😃🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Yes Kes, well done. I remember feeling quite nervous and also excited at this stage of the program. Just remember the plan works and believe in yourself and you will be beaming after your next run - keep it slow - have fun 🏃🏽‍♀️👍🏻
