1yr Running Break & Heel Pain

hi guys

I have stopped running for about a year and will need to restart Couch to 5k from scratch. The one thing that holds me back (apart of lack of Mojo and IBS) is that I have pain in my heel every morning and really hurts when going downstairs- that pain is there after a walk or any other activity where I move my legs . Any tips? Really would like to restart again

Welcome back It's great that you are wanting to start again .

Really you need to know what the pain in your heel is before you will know how to deal with it .

We are of course unable to diagnose on a forum.

Have you seen your GP about it ?

I used to have problems with heel pain before I started C25k and in my case it turned out to be Plantar Fasciitis.

Which disappeared after several months of wearing heel supports in my everyday shoes , and in my case , loosing some weight .

However , this may be totally different in your case so please get proper advice .

Good luck
